Mirage marsh boss fight venomous bug/ glitch

Reporting that today I made my first attempt at the Quest Boss Venomous. About half way into the fight, someone revenged me and it pulled me out of the Venomous fight and I had to watch the revenge animation. Once the animation was over, I was back into the quest, however; I was no longer fighting Venomous and was on the other side of him, where he is protecting the third item that you are required to grab to complete the quest. At this point I grabbed the item, the portal opened as if I had beaten Venomous and I was allowed to enter the portal to the next area. I checked and now I have a "passed" where Venomous has his picture and I've been moved forward in the quest. This is an obvious bug/glitch that I am sure you want to fix.

ALSO TO ADD... I didn't beat him. I was almost dead and was not going to beat him. When the quest screen came back up, he was alive, but as if I had no agro with him and I was able to move forward.
