They changed it so you don't see the next 5 ranks to be able to "rise faster in ranks"

And the arena resets on Sunday at 00:00 hours. So it's out of order for almost everyone. Mine reset me to 10 spot, and had 12, 9, 8, 7, 5 listed for me. And the guy in spot 12 challenged me for 10 spot before Cerb. And won. And every time I tried to take it back, I got dc'd, and he'd have it back again. Over and over. A back and forth I could not win since I could not watch battles to see forms. Just had to change forms blindly and hope. *shrugs* Not a big deal. It's just a GAME.
On a brighter note though... if he had gotten out of bed 1/2 hour earlier to start his bid, he could've taken my 100 gem stake. Since he slept in, I got it all.
