But does that mean only full priced stars or does this include ones purchased in the lab and in the fair?

Another thing. When they said "Gem cost" I thought that means the gems were what would be refunded. But then under the option to buy medals, it say that MEDALS will be refunded. What the hell? And this was not there from the start when I used my gems to buy those medals.

They are talking about the mail on the beta server.

Doesnt make sense if they refund gems. thats like giving away gems for free. bad business

From the wording "Gem cost", i surmise it means the cost in gems of the medals are refunded back.. as more medals.. the next day

I imagine it would be good business, as it would tempt people to buy gems so they had a larger stock to spend each Friday.

People will only buy until a certain amount and stop.

Imagine someone going vip5. 5k gems untouched week after week. 500 blue medals each week for free.

All heroes will get to 9 star in a month, and 12 star in two months.

I can indeed imagine that. That person still had to buy those 5k gems, and may not have before this change.

Sounds like another reason for people to make purchases to me.

It says pretty clearly in beta that the gems used to purchase the medals will be refunded, but typo's and grammar errors are widespread in Tynon. I'm thinking, rather hoping, that their intention is to refund the gems used to buy blue and purple medals. So, In theory you can purchase 50 blue medals each friday and use and reuse them over and over again until you reach the desired result. The chances of a player having the will power to keep those 500 or whatever amount of gems sitting there the other 6 days of the week are really very slim, so I'm betting more people than not will be purchasing more gems each friday. Only a small fraction of very patient and strong willed players will take absolute advantage of this, in my opinion. Either way it rolls out, It's a great change for all types of players. Kudos.

The gems that you use to purchase stars on Saturday will be refunded but this will really only benefit people who win gems or used the ones they purchased sparingly since you cannot buy gems on the beta server since it went live.

Sorry for the ambiguous text. Any medal you purchase on Friday will be given again on Saturday. We'll update the patch note for live servers.
