A couple of stupid questions - what use are speakers except to sell as clicking "use" does nothing and how do I spend cretan tokens as when I click "use" nothing happens and when in the Cretan maze there's no facility to use them or any sign of a shop.

If you look when you click on the Cretan Labyrinth icon there is a link that says Redeem. There is where you spend your maze tokens.

Speakers are consumed when you chat in the World channel. To redeem Cretan Tokens, go to the shop which you can find by clicking on Cretan Labyrinth and then the Redeem link in the top right corner before entering the labyrinth.
