I just upgraded Shayd from 2 to 3 stars. I didn't get the power up message so I refreshed. She now has 1 star and my medals are gone.
Even if it was a fail you don't lose a star at that level.

Unfortunately you do. Your first "safe" point is 4stars.
It sucks to fail, so myself and everyone sympathises.
Forum Moderators are volunteers and are unable to fix in game problems
Why in the hell would you take away a star when an upgrade fails......it's double jeopardy...and it sucks
there is a stars glitch..
i went from 9 stars to 1 star after refresh and others have gone from 9 to 4 stars

@OP Yeah, it sucks when that happens, and I have been on streaks of get stars, lose stars, lose more stars, get a star... and so on myself. I can sympathize with you. But it pretty much happens to all of us. Ask someone who has full stars on a hero how many medals, tries and fails it took to get them. If you are going to spend gems for new meals, never spend the full 10 to buy them. they come up for 2-6 in the fair and 5-6 in the lab. Just gotta be patient and wait for them to pop up.
