The problem I'm sure y'all noticed was, the same people were in the top 3. These same people were acquiring the plans to upgrade their gear long before they'll actually encountered the boss in Heroic. It was far too easy for them to get way ahead, while the less powered struggled to keep up.

Now the focus is away from the plan drops and players shouldn't be getting light bringers and Justice long before they unlock areas needed to farm for materials.

Changes don't suit everyone. This one has brought in some much needed balancing so IMHO its not a bad thing. It's just best for the time being to roll with it, you never know what the future may bring.
