I spent about 30 mill yesterday got 1 hero and only about 300 spirits and I get 9 spirits per hero.
These are my findings aswell. It will come up as 1 or 0 for a hero.
Obviously our mind assumes the chances are higher because we see only 5 cards, but nowhere is stated we have a 1 in 5 chance to get one.
Obviously our minds are influenced when they show the hero next to the card you picked everytime. A nice way to get people to go Vip3.

i have found that the cards are predetermined. so i stoped doing the shuffle game for some time...then i wanted to use 3m credits and withing a few shuffles i got a gold hero so im happy. TBH i do Cretan Labyinth for my gold heros
The cards and the battles are predetermined everywhere in the game. The odds on getting the 'good' stuff when flipping cards, no matter where the flipping is (Lab, Tavern, Heaven Palace, or quest level) are not 5 to one. That is the way the game is.
Hmm pretty interesting point you made there to read the TOS because it says that in any dispute then Ucool will use Delaware Law for arbitration and as far as I can tell:
1) It is illegal for anyone under 21 to participate in gambling and for someone to use gems in the tavern to be able to draw a second card then they have had to pay money to become a VIP and buy the gems.
2) People have to be able to see the odds of winning before they make a stake. They are not 1 in 5 like the game makes people believe. e.g. I spent 9 million credits with 54 purple or rare cards showing up. Statistics say that I should get 10. In fact the odds of me not getting at least 1 are greater than me winning the lottery (and I'm not rich yet). 50 times out of the 54 I picked the exact spot the hero appeared in, only to have the hero appear to the left or to the right (never 2 or 3 spaces away if it was truly random) and the 4 other times I picked to the right only to have the hero appear in exactly the same spot
Lightbringer has told me that you don't have a 1 in 5 chance of picking a hero after a shuffle, in fact for a gold hero it is only 1/200, so why does the game make people believe that they have a 1/5 chance of getting that hero? People are paying money for this game and it's not being entirely honest to them.
My suggestion, don't even bother hitting the shuffle button! Just hit refresh over and over til you have the spirits needed for the hero you want. The End.
I'm a knight in this game and have picked every hero that has been available to me in the Tavern. I have also sainted 5 of these heroes. Also - I have over 1200 spirits to buy my next hero if need be. To get there I spent an incredible amount of credits, not sure how much, but a lot. Also, it took me about 5 minutes to realize that it was not a 20% chance but a predetermined drop. Once I realized this I did not bitch about it being unfair - I realized if I wanted to play the game I had to play by their rules. I guess the moral to this is if you want the heroes - keep at it and they will eventually hit.
