Guild Chests - are they worth it?

Now I know the amount of coins, credits and experience are based off your level. But lets look at this.

A gold chest costs 100 contributions. 100 contributions are equal to 7.5 gems if you make decent investments or 5 gems if you do a grand investment. I am ignoring the contributions you can earn from daily activities and from win-win tech.

SO 100 contributions can also let you claim guild benefits for which I receive

    1 map piece
    1,493,531 coins
    746,769 credits
    82,516 experience

Now in a gold chest I can receive one of the following for 100 contributions
    A leader card
A purple or gold hero card
    10 gems
    50 stamina
    200 contributions
    1,000 reputation
    5 blue medals
    a level 3 chip
    a level 2 chip
    a level 1 chip
    A map piece
    231,800 experience
    1.8m gold
    900,330 credits

Now there is no arguing the cards, gems, stamina, contributions, rep, medals and level 3 chip are a bargain.
The level 1 and 2 chips, while a bargain as compared to the price you pay at ruby stonefield. But there are much cheaper ways to obtain those items

The map piece is just a joke since the rewards you get for a single voyage are very small compared to the rewards for claiming Benefits. Im sure these are in there for the smaller players who cant steal a map. I think this is a BAD idea and would love to see the map pieces only in the silver chests, not the gold chests. Because why pay double the price for the same reward

The experience, coins and credits seem quite low to me. If I were to use 300 contributions to claim guild benefits 3 times over the course of 3 days I would get

    4,480,593 coins
    2,240,307 credits
    247,548 experience
    and 3 map pieces

Yet if I were to spend 300 contributions on 3 gold chests and each gave me coins credits and experience once i would only receive

    1.8m gold
    900,330 credits
    231,800 experience

now doing some math and rounding off here
    When you claim guild benefits
1 exp is worth 9 credits
and 1 credit is worth 2 coins thereby making 1 exp worth 18 coins
So if you were to convert what I get in guild benefits at a cost of 100 contributions to all coins
My total guild benefits convert to 4,472,357 coins yet I only get 1,800,000 coins from a gold chest
My total guild benefits covert to 2,236,179 credits yet I only receive 900,330 credits form a gold chest
My total guild benefits converted to 165,949 experience and I receive 231,800 experience from a gold chest

SO the experience you get from 1 chest is clearly worth it, but the coins and experience are NOT.
The coins need increased by a factor of 3 and the credits by a factor of 2.5 to break even with guild benefits

Now lets look at it this way. In fair for 10 gems you can get 1.9 m coins so with 1.8m in a gold chest that's a bargain
In fair you can get 800k or more credits for 10 gems, so 900,300 credits is a bargain

So it will depend on how you look at this with the coins and credits if they are good or not.

You could say guild benefits are the real bargain in this game for converting gems into coins credits and experience, but you only get to do that once a day. And guild chests are not as good as a bargain for turning gems into coins credits and experience but still a bargain.

Or you could say the coins and credits in a guild chest are way too low when compared to guild benefits.

I personally am torn on how to view these numbers in the guild chests. They are GUILD chests so comparing their value versus GUILD benefits is the most logical comparison in my mind and therefore the coins and credits need increased significantly. However it is a better value then buying the same items in fair or chests.

I think the devs have done an excellent job with the rewards in the chests. I think the drop rate for the cards is going to be very very very very very small. I have bought 20 chests so far and have not gotten one, I have gotten mainly experience. Which I find the fact that experience, which is technically free is included in the chests at all. The theme has been to slow down progress in the game. Not speed it up by allowing us to level up even faster by putting experience in these chests and it seems to be the most common thing to drop.

SO overall I like these chests and they seem to be worth it. However I would really like to see experience removed completely from them and the map pieces only be in silver chests.

I get mostly stamina and coins from the gold chests.

Opened 24 gold chests so far.

I got Cianna on a silver chest. Like most things in the game a lot of luck is involved.

I have gotten 3 cards, about 15 stars, and over 500k xp. Always open the 100 contrs one.

    Is very good!

3 cards is a great pick boro. so we can take it as cards are also easy picks from guild treasure chests.

I've opened either 24 or 32 chests. I got 1 leader card (calvin, who I consider to be next to worthless — which the devs do too apparently since that's the leader card you can get in the palace), a lot of gold and some credits, about 600 stamina, 1k guild contributions (which I actually don't mind, since they amount to 2 free spins), 25 stars, probably 300 stamina, and a few other things that I don't consider very notable.

I'm torn on this as well, since I don't think the chances are actually 1 in 5 here any more than they seem to be in the tavern. I nearly always click the 2nd from the left spot...maybe that's my problem?

Either way, I'll continue to click, but not at the 8 per day rate I've started at. It's really pretty frustrating, to be honest. Increasing odds of getting cards would make it a lot more interesting since I seem to be cursed when it comes to getting them.

Great OP though...it's a very valid question, and I agree that the rewards should probably be scaled up a little.

I'm on the fence with these so far. They seem alright but 100 contribution is a lot to spend if you're a non-payer. I also don't care for the experience they give.

    Heres an issue.

    Maps

I like to buy all buy chests at once. SO i did that today
got 2 maps out of 8 chests and already had a map piece to start with.

TAKE THe MAPS OUT OF GOLD CHESTS PLEASE

    Or better yet
Just take maps out all together - and make it an option to buy a map for say 75 contributions
