host of guild
how do we get rid of a host that quit playing.

With great difficulty. The devs position is that the host spent the gems so he is entitled to still have the Guild if he ever comes back. There have been a very few cases where they actually did assign a new host. Open a support ticket explaining exactly what has happened and ask them for help.

appreciating the fact that the host spent money to obtain a guild,,, but if a host quits a game it is extremely unfair that the investment of the 50+ people remaining in the guild that have also invested money and time building the guild and their accounts have to lose out,,, and the only advice tynon give is,,,
Greetings,
Your host is a VIP7 player, please wait for his return. If he decided to quit without relinquishing the host position, we can not help to reset the host.

Tynon Support
you know i've had some pretty irritating refusals to help with glitches that have existed in this game,,, but the blatant refusal to assist 50+ paying and non paying customers of a game is absolutely ridiculous,,,
SO THE ONLY ADVICE I HAVE FOR TYNON PLAYERS,,, DON'T INVEST MONEY,,, DO NOT INVEST IN YOUR GUILDS ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A HOST THAT IS VIP,,, BECAUSE TYNON DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE REST OF THE PLAYERS!!

I agree. Its not fair to the other players in the guild. they shouldn't have to start over after investing so much. Why cant tynon just bump them to vice host, then if they return they can ask for their host position back. That at least makes some sense.

There were a few good suggestions in World Chat today as we were talking about this, but I think the best one I saw was to designate one of the VH's (the one most recently logged in?) to be acting host, assuming all the powers of host until such a time as the old host logs in. This should include promoting a new VH if one resigns. This would protect the absent host's investment as well as the interests of the guild.

There are so many issues w/ this game, don't know where to start other than the main aim of it is to screw as many people out of as much money as possible. Tynon has turned this into an art, I am tiring of it quickly and will soon be leaving if our interests are not put higher on their list of priorities!

OK. This is the one and only time where I actually know more about the game than the rest of you
This happened mostly to us. We got it fixed. Here is what you do:
(1) Start a new thread. Be extra polite. Put it in the tech support section. Here is our thread: http://bbs.tynon.com/showthread.php?...-host-problems
(2) Be very specific about what you are asking for.
(3) Get the whole guild if you can to reply confirming they want it to. Especially VIPs
(4) A moderator will respond. Be thankful and logical in your responses. Pick one person to start the thread and respond to the moderator. Everyone else just reply the one time.
(5) Everyone, especially every vip, submit a support ticket referencing the thread.
(6) Be nice and polite.
(7) See 6.
It worked for us. Our situation was worse, because we lost the only VH too.
Good Luck

Perhaps adding an additional sub-officer rank for a lvl 4 or 5 guild which can be appointed by vice hosts. This allows the Host to continue to have complete control and the guild will remain viable in the hosts absence.

Sol was able to get the problem solved. One thing that you can do is to politely as in a reply to the ticket is they could try to contact the Host using the email address that he/she used to create the id. They have that email address.

The simple solution would be to have a MINIMUM TIME SPENT ONLINE for Guild HOST requirement. If after say 7 - 10 days there was NO online activity by the HOST then the VICE HOST could ELECT by a new button that gets activated to SEIZE CONTROL based on both of them agreeing to one of the two being the new HOST. The rationale here would be that the HOST assigned them Vice Hosts and implicitly trusts them to act in HIS bust interest and the GUILD in events of emergency or abandonment.
SURELY this happens a lot where hosts die, get medically sick or just walk away from the game. WE NEED A REMEDY.
