I started counting my spins a couple days ago and have done over 600 without gaining a single purple or gold card. I am the most powerful in my server so I have more credits than most but I have a saint 1 and that is it while others have multiple saint 4s or 5s. IT makes no sense to me at all how they can spend a fraction I do on credits yet pull purples and golds constantly.
That's a real crappy run of bad luck, but I had a dry spell the last few days (gained hundreds of spirits in the meantime) and then BOOM! This morning I got incredibly lucky and landed Bloodstorm in the Tavern. I think these things just take time and patience. Not correct. I'm VIP4 and only once flipped a second card for 10 gems. As they cost gems to flip the cards.

I am not VIP. Within the last 10 days I have recruited Shayd, Saffron and Alexa (twice).
Shayd and Alexa's card popped up this Tuesday = free. :-D
Before that months had passed with nothing. You just have to be patient.
It may be rigged, but it is a matter of luck. This picture proves it.
