Has anybody done any math for guess the number? Theoretically the best way for these types of games, you use the golden ratio. But with the point system as 1-7 guesses = 30 points, 8 guesses = 20 points, and 9-10 guesses = 10 points, adjustments should be made.
Right now I do something like this:
. 300
. 400 200
. 440 340 240 100
. 460 420 360 320 260 220 140 40
. 480 450 430 410 380 350 330 310 280 250 230 210 160 120 60 20

(the number on the left is what I guess if it's higher and right is if it's lower... have no clue why I organized it like this)
This gets me a range of 10 numbers after about 5 or 6 moves... normally.

I'm wonder if there is a way to maximize the odds of getting the number within 7 moves (which my way doesn't really do). Mine makes it fairly likely to get 20 points and almost impossible to not get at least 10.

Edit: ok.. chart messed up, I'll fix it later.
