Thread: Guide to the Labyrinth - Relocated

Ok, 20 run trials on lvl 1 easy destiny tiles result:

Numbers for Destiny, Labyrinth lvl1 easy.

    Tiles: 197

    Runs: 20

    Lose 4 moves: 10
    Lose 3 moves: 14
    Lose 2 moves: 9
    Lose 1 moves: 11
    Gain 1 move: 22
    Gain 2 moves: 11
    Gain 3 moves: 25
    Gain 4 moves: 25
    Sent back: 30
    Move twice: 15
    Reveal Grids: 25

It looks like people's hunches are technically right about losing vs gaining moves (around 22.33% chance of losing moves vs 42.13% of gaining). Around a third (35% from the raw numbers) of the time though it's something that isn't gaining or losing moves, and around 42.8% of that is sending back to where you came from and that tile becomes blocked, which is a bad thing most of the time as you lose 1 move + gets shoved back into a space you most likely don't want to go.

Destiny tiles don't like 2 moves (losing or gaining). Funny that.

Overall, though, "bad stuff" happens (losing moves + sending back) is around 37.6%, while "good stuff" is around 62.4%. May crunch out an estimate of errors later (or someone with better statistical knowledge can do that for me? :P).

All in all I'd say that is hard proof that odds for destiny tiles are pretty good in lvl 1 easy.

Notes: I've also included data from destinies triggered by "repeat third last event" tile, with the assumption that the repeat repeats the even of the tile but not what happens, and thus essentially another destiny tile.

The Old Dream tile actually repeats the Destiny tile as it was experienced. It also repeats the Change, Chest, and Monster tiles as they were experienced. It won't ask you the same questions nor give you the same number in Guess the Number. Not sure about how it behaves with regard to the Teleport tile.

EDIT: Using the Old Dream efficiently is key to scoring 700-800 scores.

Well, I've suspected that hence why I'm going with that assumption. But unless we know 100% sure (which is nothing short of Tynon telling us outright) I'll still say that it is an assumption, just in case.

Yes, I am being overly cautious. Why do you ask? :P

it's not an assumption its a fact...whenever you use an old dream to get back to a destiny tile, it's a repeat of the destiny tile.

For teleport it send you back to the same tile that the teleport originally sent you to.

Given that none of us actually coded the game and that those that did revealed nothing to us, I would caution against such certainty.

I updated item 7 in the Guide to include the Transport tile behavior. Dawnseeker, a member of the Tynon team reviewed that part of the guide and said it was accurate.

Huh, ok. I take it back then. Looks like the assumption got a confirmed status.

Any other things that are also confirmed in the same way?

I have made corrections based on what other people have posted and my own experience of doing at least two labs a day for the last 4 or 5 months. It is may not be verified bu Tynon, but it is as accurate as I can make it. If you see anthing that is incorrect, please post it and I will fix it.

Ok, right. I just want to know if there are other things that are verified by Tynon, that's all. Because I should know them before I start another set of tests.
