You don't seem to understand what I'm saying. Yes, it was proven that the earth rotates around the sun, but most people don't know the basic observations that prove it, they just believe what they're told. Most people aren't interested in knowing/understanding the proofs, they just trust the people who have done it. I'm not saying that there is no proof to it, I'm just saying that most people don't know the proofs. Ask your friends if the earth rotates around the sun. Then, ask them to explain why they know it. Some will understand that they have faith in this information, others will have knowledge about it. The ones who wrote this guide have knowledge; you, on the other hand, should have faith in it.
Now, if you use it and find something that doesn't seem to fit what is told in this guide, then it will be worth testing. Until then, I don't see any reason for doing all those tests. No one needs stats to back up a model that works. It's too much work and it is exhaustive. Why do this statistical work, which no one needs, when you could progress in the heroic realm instead?
