    Only (as far as I'm aware) physical attack heroes can block. From my observations, a hero with a block rune has a higher chance of not being stunned when Shayd hits with her Heart of Darkness. So not only do runes like resistance block physical attacks but stops status attacks from hitting. Applying a break to Shayd should mean she stuns more as she's able to "break" the resistance an opposing hero may have.

    NO WHERE HAS IT BEEN CONFIRMED THAT BLOCK MAKES SHAYD MORE LIKELY TO STUN
    NO WHERE HAS IT BEEN CONFIRMED THAT DODGE REDUCES THE LIKELY HOOD OF BEING STUNNED
    NO WHERE HAS IT BEEN SAID THAT RESISTANCE REDUCES THE LIKELY HOOD OF BEING STUNNED BY SHAYD OR CIANNA

    here is the actual FACTS
    The only confirmed thing hit rating does is reduce the likely hood that any attack (magical or physical or skill) will be dodged

    It has only been said by dawn that "hit rate works for mages" which makes plenty of sense since a magical attack can be dodged - Many have read into this to mean it reduces a mages misses.

    Many have observed that hit rating does reduce the likely hood a mage misses, But many people have observed that they see no change in misses when using hit rating on a mage.

    Many have also observed that Shayd does better with a break rune. Which makes sense because she can be blocked


    All heroes can dodge and can have their attacks dodge
    All forms of attacks can be blocked and dodged - physical, skill, and magic
    Magic users can block, I have seen it happen many many times


    You would think a moderator would know that. Granted some of what was stated was prefaced with "from my observations"

    It is important for everyone to keep in mind, Dawn has stated several times - They are not going to confirm things. Since its more fun for us to figure it out ourselves.
    We have to remember alot of things with mages in particular are mere observation. The only thing we will ever confirm is what is actually in the game. Even if Dawn says its true, doesnt mean it always was or always will be. Because dawn has also said the game is ever changing. So if Dawn were to say Rune A will do this for mages. That doesnt mean it always did that or always will.

    Everything with increasing chance to stun and reduce misses is all guess work, and the truth COULD BE that nothing we do in game can effect those things, and that is what Dawn is waiting for us to have fun and figure out.
