GAME CHANGE NEEDED - ETHICS and DECENCY and Privacy of In-Game Purchases
Right now if you purchase a Game Chest Tynon announces that fact to the whole server - presumably to leverage it for marketing purposes in an appeal to the "I want one too" herd mentality.
But this is just WRONG for a few reasons (privacy) but especially for one serious one. Namely, it invites EVERYONE on the server to go see if they have any revenge links to then go beat up the poor chest buyer and STEAL his money at the worst possible time he's vulnerable to being pilfered with a big fat bank account. Minimally this is UNETHICAL and could possibly be illegal as well. It just leaves too many opportunities for abuse - especially on double PvP bonus days where winners get double from the victim.
Minimally ALL AUTO-SPEAKER announcements of this sort should be user mute-able or disabled entirely as a DEFAULT.
And more fairly - purchases should be private and not subject to being exploited for marketing purposes. No other merchant on the internet announces to its subscribers private purchases from its membership to the whole user base.
Tynon is really setting itself up for serious problems here and also inviting financial harm to users...
