I think many of us feel the mages are overlooked. Smoulder can hit every opponent at once but at a dimished rate and he misses alot. Shayd misses alot and has a 50% chance of stunning.

My idea is a hybrid class such as a druid or cleric.

They have a moral bar
They can equip either a staff or sword

When a sword is equipped they deal a normal physical attack to one hero
when their moral bar is filled they deal a skill attack. This skill attack however is a magical attack. This would be something special like a stun ( with only a chance of stunning) or magical attack version of sweeping slash/piercing thrust

When equipped with a Staff. There normal attack is a magical one with no special ability or perhaps it attacks the enemy furthest away instead of closest. But no stun ability here. When its morale bar is filled it deals a physically based skill attack such as dervish or shield wall.

This would give players more variety. It could create extremely interesting combinations in all forms of battle. And the runes are already set up for this so you could equip a sword bane and intenseness or a staff intenseness and adpet.

This would allow for counter attacks form magic casters to be devastating instead of weak like they are now.

Also this could bring in the possibility of a magical sword type weapon that is both physical and magical etc.

And in fact if we could convert our mains to this class it would really get interesting

Just a random thought I had, that i think would actually fit in with the current game mechanics without serious changes to any of the rules.
