To further comment on this thread I noticed someone mention being on s65 over a month, I don't think its even been live for a month yet, so that's a bit of an exaggeration there.
I think both Herby and Deuc have made some very good points, there's a long way to go in this game even for the first servers. Each event is only one part of the game, not a measure of how active it is. Expecting a merge on a game that's less than 100 days old is far too soon. Patience is the key here.
