Laberenth Tokens not dropping from extra bosses

I just spent 5 gems to finish a lab because I got a transport at the end. I probably wouldn't of done that but i had a 700 score locked up. then all the extra bosses give me a level 2 stone. So for having a good score in Lab and for using gems to finish it I get nothing. This is the most frustrating part of the game by far. The spirits cost tons of tokens and now the drop for the extra bosses is basically nonexistent. At least give us a "you are gonna get screwed on the boss drops" warning before we use the 2nd skip or change event option.

It's completely random.

I can get a 700 run and get 2 tokens and 3 chips.

On another 700 run i can get 5 tokens.
