Thread: Feedback Requested: Cross-Realm Arena and Guild Warfare

    I am the host of one of those guilds that holds all cities in a server wide warfare, I think if we had more cities, it would be impossible for one guild to hold it all and it would increase general competition, make it 10 rep cities, 5 coin cities and there it goes, different cities with different bonuses for higher lvl cities would be appreciated too, since it takes so long to lvl and then you get an useless city like lvl 5 city, cities could give you like 10 stamina in a lvl 5 city, they could give you an extra pirate hunt, bonus on lab rewards...

    Point is with more cities, having enough small guilds to fight against and one or two powerful ones, and super cities wont be able to hold them all, majority, of course, but battles would also be more interesting....

    Though more important that all that is to FIX THE WARFARE GLITCHES, there are too many of them, offlines are all sent to one defending city, even the people who come late to warfare, which in my guild is a good share, it is all to the same city, so it is menagable, but still not fair, attackers dont heal at D sometimes, defenders dont heal at G sometimes if they are offline, some days it takes 3~6 rounds for the battle to happen, people can jump camps at will, by exploiting glitches, which no one is punished for, at this point I would much rather seeing what we have fixed then more glitched features added....

    hi all! i was reading the feedback for the past half hour and it seems that most of feedback is provided by what people don't want to loose and their experience at their current servers...

    I believe feedback should be provided by what would make game more interesting ---> interesting means you need to really work hard to earn something and yes possibility to not win even if you give your best shot. So by loosing you need to find other ways (change strategy) to win and be competitive... isn't is a strategy game after all?

    Also, i wouldn't consider current experience with the existing servers is enough to judge the results of a change in guildwars. The reason is that on servers 11+ server wide wars was implemented before strong enough guilds were created in each realm. So it was very easy to just move to the strongest guild of the server. In order for guildwars to work you need to have lots of guilds to fight each other. So you need to give enough opportunity for guilds to evolve.

    In general, it seems for some reason not many guilds are created and stay alive... this is what you need to sort out. Maybe it is because you have so many servers? so really active players are split all around?

    WAIT A MINUTE: What kind of strategy is it to lose cities? Feedback is what it is, but my personal opinion about your feedback is (YOU DONT HAVE A CLUE ABOUT GUILD WARFARE TO BEGIN WITH).

    You want to know what will happen on servers 1-10. Tell you what duplicate severs 1-10 in a special beta. We can play both accounts separately. The new beta copy will be exactly what we have. Any gems bought on one server duplicate on the other. On new beta server make GWF the same as 11+. Strip the cities from all guilds. Then lets see what really happens. But leave 1-10 as is.

    We run the special duplicate beta for 60 days. Lets see what really happens., And if you want to make this server wide arena change on the special duplicate beta go for it. Then you can see what will happen with that as well.

    Then after 60 days servers 1-10 can vote on it.

    Ok dawn seriously. This thread has been going for 4 days now. You've made 2 comments since your original question. Ive seen you make plenty of other comments today on other threads. Please say something on this thread. Its awkward having you pose this MAJOR CHANGE TO OUR GAME, and have you be so silent on it. This isn't something a player started. This was started by a uCool employee. We would like to know where the company's thinking is going after reading 9 PAGES of comments.

    Ok one more suggestion that is simpler.

    On 5 realm servers

    every city gives max bonus. SO each level 3 city gives 100% rep etc.
    there would be 6 of every city level 3-6
    there would be 2 level 7 and 8 cities

    You can hold as many cities as you want, but the buffs are not stackable
    All cities can be attacked cross realm

    This would allow the top 5 guilds to still try and hold the same buffs they already have. Give an extra city for smaller guilds to fight over, allow for cross realm war fare to try and hurt your rivals while not getting a bonus for yourself making it harder for other guilds to beat one uber guild. Lets the first guild to level 7 and 8 own both of those cities forcing the second guild to fight them for it. I think this would add competition without causing massive chaos among the players. It keeps the status quo at first, and allows for the ability to maintain the status quo in the long run, while adding some new elements to the mix.

    Suggestion: relax matt. Let them digest all the info, suggestions and feedback and they will decide. At least they gave us the courtesy to ask our opinions.

    Summary of what i have read would indicate that the majority are against these changes as described in the original question. Many alternatives, suggestions, arose from the feedback. Some excellent, some not so much. I hope what comes of it is a decision that keeps the game fun, interesting, warlike and with the players staying.

    Oh I am relaxed, but will not spend another dime on the game until I know if and how they are changing the game.

    And I invite all other players on 1-10 to stop spending money until we get a straight answer

    in order to have strategy there must be a possibility to loose or else there is no point having a strategy... at least at the server (non server wide wars) i play cities are owned by the same guilds for the past month... and i don't see that changing because no new guilds are created in order to attack those cities. Game has become so boring that you can see that active players aren't more than 30 in each guild. So if something doesn't change soon more players will become inactive.

    I doubt very much that the majority of the players will take the time to play on two servers specially since the 'beta' servers will only be there for 2 months. I for one do not have the time to do it.
