Old rates would net you a plan every 5-6 finishes. Again they are just trying to slow progression by changing drop rates.
I got my first 800+ lab a few nights ago. Incredibly excited. Third boss dropped HP Spirit, which made me kind of sad since I already had 5. Then the 4th boss dropped HP Spirit and I sad there mourning that I could have gotten 100 gems instead.
