I have only 1 HB Spirit left to upgrade, but I noticed tonight (and checked other players as well) that I have the (6) set bonus but no longer the (5) set bonus. Well if I have the 6 set I should have the 5, I mean 6 pieces are more than 5 right? I want my bonuses back as I am fairly certain this is where I lost so much power lately.

It could be that your other 5 pieces of equipment are you are getting the Champion set of 5 bonus. Check on one of the other pieces of equipment to see if that is the case.
I've noticed that if I have 6 pieces, the 5 piece bonus is grayed out. It seems to be one or the other. Andy could be right though, that it's grayed out because I'm getting a higher level 5 piece bonus.
Ive never had it happen before, it is supposed to be a stacking bonus.

You only get 1 5 set bonus and 1 6 set bonus. That can be any combo;
5 set hope + 6 set hope
5 set champ + 6 set hope
5 set guardian + 6 set hope.
Say your character has 1 ironheart piece, 2 guardian pieces, 3 champion pieces and 1 hope. You will have every set bonus greyed out except for 5 set for champion (only when you mouse over champion items) and 6 set bonus for hope (only when you mouse over that single item).
If you have 6 pieces of hope gear, both will show up when you mouseover an item.
