Thread: New Server PROBLEM!

    New Server PROBLEM!

Tynon's developers are so money hungry they keep releasing and releasing new servers for the initial money bump they get. Never mind the fact that servers like S37 are damn near DEAD! My guild Averages 4 people online during any given guild war. Most of our player base at this point is our own alts. The other 2 big guilds in the server hit 4-8 players on average.

POINT IS: WE HAVE LESS THAN 24 ACTUAL PLAYERS ON THE ENTIRETY OF SERVER 37! yet we are being told this is over populated and more servers continue to be made! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD TYNON DO SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR DIEING SERVERS! MERGE THEM FOR GOD SAKE.

We probably have more than that on Server 34 but I'd honestly say the active player base across all realms couldn't be more than 100 players, at least those who actively contribute to events and such. There may be the occasional player who just logs on to a sub-1 mill power account, but those aren't what I'd consider active.

Tynon needs to stop counting players that are inactive for a long time, like maybe 3 weeks, when deciding about new servers and also start directing new players to some of the older servers that have a lot of inactive players.

how do you expect new player to compete on older servers?

Time and a spot in a decent guild. Alternately, improved Week 1 Rewards.

Did not think of that. Then the only solution would be to merge servers and Tynon has already said they will not do that.

    Under Populated Servers !

I don't understand how Tynon can say the servers are all full, so we are opening a new server ? I play on server #30 Rains of Chak and we are terribly under populated. I can walk in the wilds all day and not see another player . We have no new players joining our server, in fact some are leaving due to the Top 10 or so players dominate everything and there is not enough middle ground or lower ground players to compete against. Some servers have 5 realms while many still only have 3 . Yet you claim servers are full and make a new one . Why ? There are only 2 guilds that are competitive and one that tries in vain to compete. We need a lot more players or this server will die ! I am certain many other servers are facing this same issue. I would like to know if there are any plans on correcting this ? I would also urge Tynon to stop making new servers until the old ones are full please it is taking the player base from other servers . Thanks and Happy Hunting

I made a post on this very same subject ..before I read this post lol. I play on server #30 and we are dying very fast as well yet they continue to add new servers. I read that this game was designed for one purpose and that was to make money. So I can see Tynon just becoming a quick money grab and then just stop existing when it runs dry. I mean they don't put much effort into fixing problem that have plagued this game from the start. They are very slow in adding any new content to the game if any at all. So it does seem they will just play it out until the money runs dry, then just turn it off like a switch, and say thank you very much !

I had this discussion as well with people that played Evony, which apparently is made by the same design company. The people there say it's the same setup, with hundreds of dead servers, a focus on cash rather than sustainability as a game. You just have to look at the difference between this and games like Rift, which also have pay-to-play aspects. Rift is really intensive as far as replay ability, character customization, guilds, events, and a more in-depth design geared towards people who love the fantasy genre and gaming in general. Tynon is like the Las Vegas version of that, more of a business based on a model of short lived cash-n-grab servers. This game isn't designed to last a long time. Personally I've already stopped buying gems and just letting nature take its course. I'm in a uber guild so I can ride those benefits for awhile.

Forgot to add: what you need to take into consideration is Tynon is like the phone app of the gaming world. Something that can run in the background, low learning curve and not really time intensive. Part of the frustration I see is that I think we expect more out of it than it is.

There is really no solution to breathe life back into the servers. Or hold it within new ones. If you enjoy the PVP aspect, one of the better options it seems is to actually just play through the beginner rewards period in the new servers when it's full and busy. Apparently this is a popular thing to do. I'm considering it myself, as there's really little incentive to keep going once a server (or realm in the case of 1-10) has reached the uber-guild endgame. I think they key to avoiding frustration is just lower the bar as far as what will actually be possible.

Again reference the Evony business model. We might wish for something different, but experience shows it works.

"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

I understand your feelings, but can't help. maybe thats who they operate. I'm in server 28. but, what I did, is that, I try to introduce the game to my friend, and some of them like it, and some of them don't. and guest what, we do have some sort of drama going in my server hahaha. Its really up to you if you make it interesting or not. There are good things in underpopulated server. And one of them is getting to know all people playing it.
