Well i thought this server actually started less then 24 hours ago so i was saying give it a little more time. The first 72 hours is when the main players of the server join imo. But I think an interetsing point is being brought up here, and it is clearly something most of us and the Tynon team disagree about.
What is enough people to say a server is full enough before opening a new one for the same time zone? I personally say in a 3 realm server with server wide gwf 180-210 is good enough. that gives you 3 guilds of 60-70 people, which is about as many as we can muster per major guild per realm on 1-10. Anything less is going to be sparse but could lead to a 2 guild server which could be interesting in its own so then 120-150 people copuld barely make it worth playing. Once you get above 250 or so on a 3 server realm you are pushing the capacity I think of this game unless you can manage to get a significant increase form day 1 of server so that you wind up with 350-450 players on the server with 2 main guilds in each of the 3 realms.
Now each scenario has its pluses and minuses and will play a crucial part of the longevity of the server. If you get a 120 people who all split into 2 guilds and are enjoying smashing each other every day, then you could have a server that is fun competitive and long lasting, provided those people stay interested in the game content over the long run.
Now 68 people is just barely enough in my mind for 1 day of the server, in the long run they could break down into 2 equal sized guilds. And have a blast and start picking up the newer players as they join the server. However having only 68 players is going to make banish slow, and other things quite slow as well.
So if the trend is for much smaller sized servers, maybe there needs to be adjustments to the cool down times of guilds and teh cost to upgrade guilds etc.
