Lightbulb New character development, for "people of color", and asians.

ATTENTION: If this did not reach the Developmental Team, I would appreciate it if you would Forward a copy of this to them.

TOPIC: The Beauty and Innocence of Tynon, risks being sort of Racist.

Please accept the truth that I am not trying to annoy the Tynon Developmental Team. But instead, "Waking the team up to the fact, "That there are no characters that represent 'People of Color'., thereby risking the possibility of being a bit racist, even if this was not anyone's intentions."

And if "ucool" is based in England, and if not, if it is based in America, either way, "It is a discriminatory practice to purposely leave out "an entire race"." In both countries, 'People of Color' leave there. And you cannot say, that there are not beautiful, or handsome People of Color. Neither can you not say, that they are not athletic looking enough. They have been known to fight any war, and be just as much as a man, and anyone else.

Maybe ucool is thinking, "That may be true, but People of Color were not in any real or significant way, part of Medieval times, in which Tynon has been cast."

That may be true, "But these are not Medieval times, they are Modern times, and in which "people of all races live in all parts of the world", and to exclude them from the society that they live within, or from a society that they choose to be part of, (in this case, Tynon), that to leave them out of it, and without any representation, "IS ABSOLUTELY WRONG!". They should have "the Right", and "to be Treated with Respect", JUST AS MUCH AS ANYONE ELSE. And to note, "They are going through these times, JUST AS MUCH AS THE REST OF US."."

Even though Tynon is a Beautiful game, ucool has not made a beautiful decision to leave 'People of Color' out of it.

COMMENTS: Try to challenge yourselves to "be equal and fair with all people", (I suppose that this means that we will have to have an Asian girl running around the game like Beautiful "Valla". And ucool has installed Asian servers.) But also, "try to challenge yourselves to "Develop" and medium toned person of color, that is handsome, intelligent, and just as sharp as one of your archers. And with the sexier designs for Tynon characters, then also Develop and Beautiful female person of color that anyone, especially those 'well tanned archers' would find Admirable and Desirable to a certain degree. Therefore, all peoples of the world can be represented, "and it therefore become a true game for the world", that all of humanity can come to appreciate, and to enjoy.

With Respect, and Admiration for your Artwork,

    TynonTiger

I don't consider it wrong for you to ask for more diversity, but don't play the racist card with developers (it's rude). Most of the time choices are made for thematic or aesthetic purposes, not to specifically represent one nationality or another due to prejudices of a game's creator(s).

(Note the following is NOT an advertisement, it's an example) League of Legends developer Riot Games has had to deal with the same complaints, and in time they have been able to release champions of various perceived heritages (since their game world is completely separate from ours). Give it time and I'm sure uCool will do the same, should it be thematically possible to do so.

For now, if it makes you feel better, we don't know Bloodstorm's skin color.

    Wow
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I never even actually paid attention to the skin tone. Since these aren't real people. They are just pixels used to play a game. I didnt care what color the pixels are or their heritage or ethnicity or what ever you want to call it. I live color blind normally.

But now that this was brought to my attention, I still don't care. Make all the characters green for all I care.

I'm pretty sure the B.E.T. channel on TV only features 1 race, but if white people say something about it then they are labeled a racist.. i find that hilarious to be honest. I'm a proud puerto rican chica and could really care less about the color of a person, especially the character in a GAME.

I wish a mod would just delete this thread, pretty pathetic to see this.

[The Thread's Objective] If you are a normal human being, you will "inwardly attach", to certain things in life. Sometimes they are pretty girls, sometimes it is cars, or even computers/Internet. But the main thing in life, "Is to find someone that you can love." But as far as the tread goes, I am not talking about love, but something that is "inwardly", and something like "fondness". In America in the 1950's, there was courtroom scene where an attorney held up two dolls to a young black girl. He asked her, "Which is the good one?" And she said, "The white one." This was to dramatize the reality of discrimination, and racism in America, and how far it had gone. That a true good girl with a good heart, and a tender and innocent soul, picked the other race, and failed to see, "That she had most of humanity beat already." She should have picked the black doll. "So what does this have to do with my thread?" I WANT PEOPLE OF COLOR TO PICK THE BLACK DOLL. I want them "to inwardly attach with fondness" "to a pixilated character that represents them." AND, I want other people to understand that this tread and its reply comes with heart, and good intentions. AND... I was hoping that other people would understand, and accept, "the truth and wisdom" in this thread's idea.

I don't think there's anything "pathetic" about asking for some diversity in the characters. Aside from the obvious racial connotations, I'd like to see just some general diversity in the characters, most especially the player characters since those are the things on our screen most of the time. I find it dull to see the same six "people" and portraits all day.

Tynon is not set in medieval times. It is not set in any time. There are no people in Tynon. The characters are all an entirely unique species, completely unrelated to humans, in a fictional universe that is not our own. All of the characters hatch from mystical Cosmic Eggs which are deposited at random by The Universe Star-Mother and thus they have no heritage or ethnicity. In fact, they do not even have skin. Their bodies are covered in Stardust and peach fuzz.

I trust this resolves your concerns. Thanks for playing Tynon!

Since this has been brought up, i would like to add that Smoulder being a skeleton is disrespecting the dead :P Maybe Smoulder was of a coloured skin tone before the rot set in.

Cianna disrespects Barney the dinosaur with her purple skin tone.
