No, please. That would leave the sockets empty, with the corresponding lost of power, and nothing to put in them. Also that is a lot of chips to clutter up the inventory and some people may not have the room for them. One of the other solutions is a better one. The following are in order of preference from my point of view.


  1. Remove the cost for removing level 4 chips.
  2. Allow in place merge. This means that you can use 4 more lvl 4 chips to merge with the one that is in the socket and it turns it into a lvl 5 chip in the socket.
  3. Allow a higher level chip to to replace the lvl 4 chip. The lvl 4 chip will be destroyed.
