17 different yellow runes
lets see what I can do
1 white
2 gray
3 yellow
4 orange
5 red
6 blue
7 pink
8 green
9 brown
10 black
11. purple
12 tan
ok so i need 5 more now
well this is where you do have to have variations but you can have unique variations
13 light or dark blue
14 light or dark red
15 gold (different then yellow but still yellow like)
16 light or dark green
17 peach or cream ( both similar to tan)

Now you can also differentiate with the shapes which is not done either very well.

To me if theres going to repetition then there should be a reason
such as all offensive runes are similar
all defensive runes are similar
runes that can be replaced with a super rune are similar - so adept and bane look alike as well as vengeance

But there does not seem to be a rhyme or reason to some runes looking identical. SO to me its just lazy coding
