    remove host

    Hi guys
Can you please do me and my guild members a favor and remove our current host from his position as host. He is not active at all ....and if you guys have a look at this just keep in mind that I started the guild and past the position over too Clucks because in that period I were very busy.

    Regards
Viper8>>> from the Crusaders on server 31

I have seen previous posts about such issues. Send damnbringer a message . I am not sure they do anything though.

They have assigned a now host in the past. I think that the criteria is that the exiting host has not signed on for over a month, but I could be wrong.

Not to bring up an old thread, but i've found a few about hosts and this is the closest thread addressing our problem..

I was going to ask whether even contacting customer support would help, but in our case the guild host is a lurker..so active but not involved, if that makes sense. Nobody knows when he/she is on, and they don't respond at all to PMs or mails..they inherited the guild from someone who quit Tynon, and it's been downhill since..

The issues people are having can be brought to light in a couple examples..one is GW, where this unnamed host switches assignments at the last minute to ensure the guild loses battles..almost the whole guild has rotated through the vice host positions and has seen this happen by watching the Battle Planning window between Rag and GW. Anytime someone brings this up they get tossed out..

The larger issue is the guild recently invested to grow to level 6..someone asked the guild host to step down again a couple days ago, we got no response except yesterday noticed the guild funds being unloaded into techs that no one wanted, because the investments were supposed to go towards increasing the level..as a result we are again weeks away from having enough funds to upgrade.

The host has never replied to anyone's mails or pm's..the only way people know he/she is on is from the last login info or random sightings while grinding for gear, etc..

Obviously one solution is to leave the guild..however most of us started it and have been there since the beginning, and adding up all the investments to get to level 6 equates to hundreds of dollars over the past few months. The host is someone who came from another realm as friends of the old host, and since taking over has done their best to ruin it. They have been asked multiple times to step down, and the only reply has been "I will disband the guild before I ever step down."

The reason why this is posted on forums is, after reading this thread it doesn't seem like there's any way to fix this. If the person logs in regularly, then the only real "crime" is squandering people's money, which there's no real way to prove since this host literally does not communicate and there are no records saying dumping the funds was a malicious act, even if everyone who is there knows it was.

So basically my takeaway is we are screwed..I just want to see if there are any other ways out there that anyone knows to deal with this. About half the players have already quit and the rest aren't far behind. People don't want to lose all the money we've put into the guild to make it the number 1 guild on the server, which looks ridiculous sitting at number 1, with all the cities, and now the smallest guild on the server as well. There just really seems there's no other options than quitting, since at any point the host can just click a button and down it goes, erasing all the work everyone has put into it, erasing all the city buffs that everyone has earned, and nothing we can do about it.

Is there any more info on what criteria there has to be for a host to be removed? Or any info that would help at all?

I actually read the entire post.

The best advice that I can think of, is to cut your losses.
Quit the guild and move over to the second highest or advanced guild on the server.

I agree, your host is a ****. Unfortunately, I don't think Tynon would remove him from the host position because of that reason.

Thanks for the response..yes it seems like that's really the only option. There's just not enough evidence of mischief to do anything about it, just sad that hundreds of dollars got wasted into a lost cause..sorry about the long post I just wasn't sure how to frame it without making it look like a flame attack on a particular person, which it's not, just helpless frustration at this point.

I tend to agree with Herby here. If your present host is active then Tynon has no reason to remove him. Reading between the lines it's seems his intent was to rupture the guild which is a pretty low thing to do but not something Tynon has a rule intervenes with.

Whatever you decide, I wish you well.
