The mechanics presented is good, but the tavern can be kept alongside with it. This will give a player two options: you can either pay to win or play to win
I especially like how beating the boss gives you a chance at a free recruitment.
I am not saying that new way is bad. Its a major improvement to the game. But I would at least like to keep using the Royal arena for more then the first few days it comes out. SO if we could go back and fight the hero again for a hero card that would be much more fun then spinning endlessly in the tavern to do so. If they made it so you could do that and kept the tavern I would be happy as well. I just see the current incarnation of the Royal Arena being a great idea that becomes unusable too quickly.
I suspect the royal arena was set up for new servers not ones that have been around for months.
Doubt the developers would ever remove the Hero's Tavern. Every game needs its currency sinks.
If it's removed, I would imagine some players will have a crap ton of credits on their hands once they've unlocked all rune slots..

however in the mean time they could give us something new to spend credits on if they took out the tavern. Like more stuff in fair, chips for credits, stamina for credits, charge us credits to get the card once we beat the hero in royal arena. Lots of ways to do it. My suggestion would actually give the developers more ways to get us to spend credits. Regardless of if we have a tavern or not
I still say they should expand royal arena to be similar to HR and we can fight each hero daily for a chance to get a card. Even if when you get the card you have to spend like 5m credits to get it.
