You keep your heroes, but you cant buy new cards with the title rank reset and it seems the fairest way to do it with the changes in rep required for titles.
On the bright side you will get 1 free card for coins for each hero as you re-level to your new title.
the title reset is garbage combined with moving all teh heroes up 2 ranks. If the titles would give NEW heroes it would be one thing. Why should we have to wait days weeks or months to get cards for heroes we have had for months?
The Title Reset is a genius move!
It's the only way the new reputation requirements would be fairly implemented.

Adding calvin and saffron to certain titles and resetting the current ones?
I feel like we are cheated out of getting new heroes.
Either don't reset the title; or don't add calvin and saffron. That to me seems more fair.

The heroes to unlock are all from the Royal Arena. And they are VERY powerful.
You all start from Private, but you keep your current rep. So you can title up as many times as you want until you reach your new rep level.
OMG! I get Demoted! So much for all that work to get to general.....what a crock ....so the next time they decide to "redo" the game we will lose our titles again....Bad Tynon bad... Maybe just get rid of the titles all together and just use the rep numbers seeing that a "title' means nothing anyway. pfff

As usual herby is missing the point.
The original setup gave us new heroes per title. Many of us have been at lt colonel and higher for weeks and weeks waiting for the new heroes for those titles. Now we lose those titles get demoted by about 2 titles or more for most people. And lose the ability to get cards in tavern for 2 heroes we already have . Pkus the new rep requirements are a bit high so it will take even longer now. Plus the new heroes in royal arena are nice, but they totally changed the game.
Its not the higher rep requirements that is the issue its the fact they didnt really give us new heroes for title and are screwing us out of cards for heroes we already have, and making it harder for many to even unlock heroes that were there before. Its a combination of how they are doing this that is the problem. Im fine with the reset but the heroes should still be at the same title they are now and there should be new heroes for lt colonel and colonel. And I think the new rep requirements are just a little to high
I would like to see it top at 2m for marshal 1m for general 800 for colonel etc
Even lowering the rep requirements to my suggestion make this patch better and is a simple change. But the rep requirements cause most people to lose 2 titles or more.
SO yes we get a step forward with all those heroes in royal arena but then get 2 steps backwards with the titles

So after patch, if I don't have the rep to unlock a hero that I already have, do I still get to use that hero(but without getting a card for coins) or is that hero not available for use until I have the new rep requirement?
