Yeah, not being able to rest heroes with runes on them is a little bit of a pain when you don't have all the slots opens. So far as I can tell, I have not lost any runes.

Get your hero from the hero inn and put them on your list of reserve heroes.

You'll get access to their runes then.

Herbie, I had dozens of heroes each with one Rune. If I start bringing them in one a a time to see what rune they had and since I can not put them back with the rune I will run out of slots in the storage area. In any case I can no longer use combine all yo build up runes if I have to keep the ones that I do not want combined in the storage area too. They have to fix this.
