Can't fight Jeanne d'Arc nor any of the other [champions] (have no idea how are they called)

6- Summary:
Without fighting Jeanne d'Arc, I managed to recruit her from the heavens tavern, but the problem now is that the game thinks I defeated her, and it will only show the "Replay" button, not the "Fight" one. Also, since technically I haven't beat Jeanne d'Arc, I can't fight higher level [champions].
