surely this should be either classed as a loss against the boss so it remains open or the loot should be delivered to my inventory.

i don't care about being hit i do get annoyed when the loot is lost. especially since they nerfed the bosses and made them harder to kill.
I had same problem. I checked my inventory both before and after the battle. Although I defeated the Boss (the Envoy), I did not receive any drop. This remains an ongoing issue. Event occurred at 1:37 pm server time. Unable to report earlier due to forum being down.
