How does gambling work? There are many possibilities.

This first set is if you can only bet on the winner. I assume that is the way it works

    1. You bet against "the house", with no odds. If you win you get whatever you bet back plus an equal amount in winnings. The number of players betting, the total amount bet by all players or the number of winners does nor affect what you get. This is similar to playing games like roulette in a casino.
    2. You bet against the house, with with odds that are calculated based on the power of each player or some other factor. This is the same as #1 but your winnings are whatever you bet times the odds.
    3. The total amount that was bet by all players goes into a pool and it is divided equally among the winners.
    4. Like #3 above but with odds as described n #2 above
    5. For #3 or #4 above total amount bet is reduced by a percentage that goes to "the house".

On the preliminary rounds are the players divided into groups and the ones that 'place' in each group advance or is it a free for all like Rag? It says that that it is a round robbing system and that implies that each player fights every other player once. With 512 players in the first round and only 5 minutes that is 35 seconds per round (5*60*60/511=35.225) and that does not appear to be possible unless the fight scenes are terminated early (we all know that the result is already determined).

Another possibility is that their idea of round robin is like in Rag where you face random opponents but you only face the same opponent once. That means that out of the 511 opponents in the first preliminary you would only face 300 of them if they are 1 minute rounds like in Rag.

On subsequent rounds where the each player fighting another player once would take less than 5 minutes:
    1. Do they fight each other more than once?
    2. Are the rounds timed like in Rag or do they go to fight scene completion like in WB (Banish)?

Is the betting done on each individual round or only for the overall winners?

    Update

I have no clue what I was thinking when I wrote the above. It says that each round lasts 5 minutes and my calculation was based in 5 hours. Now I am really confused. How can you have a round robin of 512 players in 5 minutes?
