Then by rights he should heal the full amount back like queen pent does not half. The way it is now makes him less effective then a good Queen pent
Are you on drugs or something? By the time anyone can beat Khan in the royal arena, they already have full LB sets and herja so full moral every round is a very minor benefit. Mean while double the hp regain is huge. On top of the fact that you can get 4 Pent cards for what 1 of Khan's costs and still have spirits left over. The stars are also more expensive. And if all that wasn't enough Pent gets a 10% magic damage reduction.
Just looking at the CW battles should tell you how much that half life gain kills khan's usefulness. Anyone who makes the finals is powerful enough to recruit him. Yet last CW 13 people that I was able to watch used Pent where only 3 used Kahn. And 2 of those 3 used Pent too. So only 1 of the all the top tier players from all servers choose Khan over Pent where 10 picked Pent over Khan. And that 1 who choose Kahn player got knocked out first or second round of day 1. Overpowered? Hardly. Not even powerful enough to be used over a hero 14 places lower in RC and 464mil lower in power.
Khan's keeping moral makes it a more difficult but Flavius can disable him. That goes down to skill attack vs skill defense and when they go in the round. I'm not saying keeping moral isn't an advantage, just that it's no where near as big as gaining full damage back as hp instead of half the damage. Hence strongly disagreeing with Herby saying the lack of moral drain compensates for the half health regain.
not one uses pent in the quarter finals and up, because they knocked out all the ones that did use her. there is more to it than just the HP leech. when khan crits he is deadly. you say she adds 10% magic resist (i'd prefer +30 crit from khan anytime) and i say she needs it badly because when you look at the other base stats:
base stats pent - khan
com 75 - 85
str 75 - 85
int 55 - 80
HP 550 - 650
p.attk 935 - 2456
s.attk 515 - 1350
p.def 312 - 819
s.def 561 - 1473
m.def 234 - 614
khan is anti flavi, pro crit, good tank with ability to heal himself and instead of having to use herja you can put another DD into the group. of course i would love if he had more HP leech but for that he doesnt die as fast as pent and does more damage.
edit: dont forget the difference on sanctifications you can additionally gain when use of a gold hero compared to a purple.
And anyone using Khan got knocked out even earlier from what I saw. If you aren't using him for the leeching then you have better options. That's why both are better for PvE than PvP, CW was just a way of pointing out which heroes are getting used and which aren't. In PvE, even with better gear and higher runes my Khan dies before my Pent every time. Without Crits she heals enough to stay alive, he doesn't(Given he's still a little behind on stars and saints but his stats are almost caught up because of eq and runes). Though I do agree with you that the crit bonus is better than the mag resist(and resilience and higher block).
Also those base stat differences a bit above what other gold heroes get over their purple counter parts. But it's inline with how much more expensive his cards are and how much harder he is to beat. Look at Scipio vs Cleopatra, Dawn vs Valla or Rhiaze vs Vipsanius. Sure he gets a better phyattack and skill attack bump than the rest but no where near enough to make up for his skill being a nerfed version of Pents. That is a good point about gold hero saints adding more, hopefully when I can get him some more saints that will help, I still don't see it making up for the weakened skill though(just means I'll use both for PvE and have him take less hits since he heals less)
I know there is a lot more to it than just the leeching vs keeping moral, I was directly responding to Herby saying keeping moral alone compensates for gaining half damage back instead of full. I still think that statement is crazy.
