I've noticed that both Cianna and Shayd have been extensively nerfed, so the initial strategy types are becoming defunct. Since stunning isn't as foolproof as it was I'm having to rethink....

True, although a good counterform would blitz that attack.

And I'm trying to level a new hero now to replace Bloodstorm in the main 5 hero formation.

Yes, that's how much the patch has shaken things up.

If you still see Adam, Blood, Cianna, Shayd, Main hero setups, it's either they're too lazy to try the other heroes out, they don't know anything about the other heroes, or they're too scared to test new things.

Herja + Flavius + Adam + Alci + Main -> 3 AOE attacks + 1 driving blow every turn.

That's just an initial example.
It has. I've been testing Flavius Aetius today. As far as I can tell his WarCry removes 20 points of morale from all phyisical heroes. WarCry is a skill similar to Thousand Strikes but has the added touch of reducing an opponents morale.

It seems that with the amount of morale drainers available now hybrid formations could become more common rather than the single mage + physical heroes that are the norm now. Watch this space.
