This has been asked several times, and tested quite often. It's always the same answer. It will add power to a mage, but doesn't seem to help much, if at all. I'm currently testing this again, myself.

Finished testing it for damage output and so far as I can tell no effect on a mage's damage output.

The effect may be more subtle. I have a theory that raising power on a toon like a mage (even if with useless runes that the class can't use) MAY POSSIBLY trigger more favorable outcomes - at least when fighting BOSS NPCs. There seems to be some kind of power aura that increases the chances of stunning and dodging etc. This is just a theory - UNTESTED. Play with the concept and see if it works for you. As it is Mage Rune Slots seem to be way too many for the few runes that we know for certain help mages. We really should perhaps have another class of mage rune - maybe a team oriented rune that bestows some low level shielding aura from other opposition magic casters to the rest of the squad.

The reason you see an increased success in outcome when adding it to a mage for fighting npc bosses is the fact that npc bosses actually quite often block mages. Break reduces that chance ofc. At least this is my experience.

Block works only on mages if ur mage isn't shielded by any other toons, it has to be at the front, so first in line. Just shouldn't be behind any toon if u want block to work. I believe shayd can block, but not sure but med, probably can too. I heard break makes magic attack powerful BUT only if it's a stun.
