I have seen reductions anywhere from as little as 5% to as much as 45%. I cannot figure out exactly what changes this rate. However, it doesn't appear to be the attackers Break rating, but in truth I just can't figure it out. I have, though, seen damage reductions as high as 15,000 HP and equal increases in damage when the rune is removed. High block reduces damage on skill and physical attacks, but nothing on magic damage. So, if the attacker is doing high damage, the block rune (wall or resistance) will usually provide more damage reduction than a Flintiness or Burliness giving 3 or 4,000 reduction. Mages also benefit from damage reduction with an increased block rating. They rarely, and for all intents and purposes, don't ever "block" in the classic sense where you see the "block" letters and get a counterattack. It happens (although I've never seen it with my mages, I have seen monster mages block and counter attack in the laby) I'd say for all around a lvl 9 or 10 Resistance is better than an equal size Burliness or Flintiness, but certain situations might make that not true. Like all things Tynon it is unclear and depends on the situation.
