It only increases a mage's power rating.
no one said it was a huge gain but even a incompetent player like you noticed the difference. no it doesnt increase the damage or the m.attk but a mage with a crit rune has a higher DOT than a mage without. critical runes help mages get to their max damage more often than mages without. you can test that in any banish, write down the first hit damage of a mage (DD mage, not support/debuffer class) with crit and without crit on the first lets say 100 hits and you will notice a 8% difference in the overall damage.
you at this point refering to bryn and previously talking about ezk is pathetic, both are not damage dealers. bryns "quality" is in stunning and not dealing damage, he damage output is so insignificant that she couldnt kill any fully stocked hero within the 30 rounds given and ezk quote is just pathetic since he is a debuffer and does no damage at all and saying that break doesnt work on ezk... i mean come on you argue like a 5year old and thinks he deserves something only because his little sister... oh whatever. ezk, herja and bryn are NOT DD's therefore you dont need to add messiness, a high powered staff, break or whatever.
that being said as you already acknowledged that crit makes a small difference on mages and then contradicting yourself in the next sentence is just pathetic. this reminds me about you useing 2 lv8 diamonds as official excuse to throw the CW and then 2 CW's later you state that you need more diamonds and rubies is just as pathetic as your childish argument.

Every stat effects every attack differently, anyone who wants to understand the mechanics of this game should test each hero to see how the stats effect them.
That being said, Crit is the most consistent stat there is, and seems to have less hidden quality's than the others.
The effect of break has a direct relationship to the block of the opponent(and vise versa). It is important to keep this in mind when testing as it can skew results and lead you to conclusions that are incorrect if you do not.
