Just tested the damage. And damage range was the same. Average damage was about the same with or without break. That leads me to conclude that either break does not affect damage output or I did not have high enough break or perhaps block does not reduce magic damage every time.

Also I did search the forums and I could only find one reference to what you are talking about Pirate.

Pirate and the rest of the posters are just full of it. None of their claims are supported by proper and sufficient data (if any at all. I'm sure most is just hearsay). Resistance/Block does NOT reduce magic damage. Atks inflict a damage range, so you need gather enough damage numbers and find the average before you can make a comparison. Twenty samples should be enough. All other conditions must be identical.

Some people speculated that break helps Shayd's stun rates. Again, no numbers to back it up. There has been no evidence to date to suggest that block or break affects mages in any way whatsoever.
