    Stars

Can someone explain to me how star upgrades work? I had 2 stars on Shayd and went to place 2 more stars on her; both upgrades failed leaving me with only 1 star on Shayd.

I thought you did not lose stars if you had fewer than 4? Something the new patch dragged in?

If you mouse over the question mark on that page you can see how many you will lose in the event of a fail. At 4 stars you are safe, as well as 7 and 9 if not mistaken.

So you can lose stars at any stage unless at 4, 7 and 9? Thanks for clearing that up.

Also at one. It doesn't steal the only one you have if you fail.
This is one of the biggest rip-offs in the game. In my humble opinion.
increase the fail rate. I am good with that.
But losing previously attained levels is wrong. It is flat out wrong and, in my humble opinion, could be considered theft.
ANYONE who bought stars with gems that were purchased at some point, (vip 1 and up) is entitled to KEEEP the levels they bought.
Since they cannot determine which gems are the ones that are purchased AND because the coding would be a nightmare
they should REMOVE the loss of star levels as a penalty for failure. PERIOD! Failed sanctification keeps previous levels.
    So should star failures.

Old issue. Most players have accepted this and come to terms with the system. Move on.

Or at least the loss rate should be the same as the fail rate. If I have a 50 % of failure then if I fail I should have a 50% of retaining the star. When you get to 8 stars and have a 10% chance of gaining and a 90% chance of losing there is no real incentive to spend the gems to take the bigger risk of loss. Even Vegas doesn't rip you off with those kind of odds.
