and who is off topic now? maybe you should not try to force closings of certain threads by purposefully placed off topic posts. that is something that should give you a personal warning.

other than that lascivius is finally beaten on our sever by myself, the next day i tried ingris and beat him on the 3rd try and a couple days later i also defeated mud giant. now here is the problem: there is not more than 4 players that have beaten lascivius yet, ingris is beaten one other player than myself and so far the only one defeated mud golem. the widow is a real pain to beat, there is another perfect example of having to stun a boss in heroics and shayd fails to stun 9/10 times.

my form i finally beat lascivius with AFTER the patch:
--- adam main (in tank form)
--- --- rhize (top DD with highest spirit, highest weapon, etc)
    --- shayd blood

tactic: kill the 2 minions in center row and the hellhound on bottom in the first round or at latest 2nd round, stun lascivius with shayd and finish off with blood.

please note: the server is one of the younger ones, at the time we had no subs yet and not many of the new heroes where developed enough to make a difference. cianna pre-patch used to be the key and after patch 100% useless.

Thanks Kaisim, your formation was the difference. Beat the Minister after almost 4 weeks of hard trying. Tried every formation, but never thought of isolating Rhize. I went from 11 million power to 15 million power during those 4 weeks and it didn't seem to make a difference, couldn't get over 70% damage. I had Adamanti and Bloodstorm before the patch so am one of the lucky ones. Most of the Guild I am in will not get Blood for weeks, so I don't know how they are going to beat the Minister. Even with the change in formation and reaching level 80 with all the additional rune slots it still seems that I need at least one stun from Shayd to beat him. I think that gving Blood a high level Messiness seemed to help also, he has stood toe to toe with the Minister for 5 or 6 rounds and survived, not often but enough times.

I beat Ingris the same night, but have stopped dead at the mud golem. I find I do not have the will to work hard on him now, I am burnt out from the Minister. I give the golem a couple of shots and then get out of HR.

SO far this thread has given me a lot of information about how to tackle Valeneo thanks to morgan and a few others ( not saying that I can yet ) but it is heading me towards the right direction

if you can't beat him, build more power.

People with your mindset of 'hey I gained 2mil power I should kill the boss now.'
Listen to what people have been saying for months, power means nothing. If your going to gain hp then gain enough to survive 1 more hit, regardless of the power gain until you survive that extra hit then all your gains are meaningless.

This is what did it for my daughter

    0 - 0 - Sha
    Blood - Main - Adam
    0 - Calvin - 0

It happens to be her Banish formation and she tried to beat nim right after Cerb and she forgot to change it.

i didnt use calvin on purpose on this boss because of the low damage output compared to a real DD. a strong DD like lancelot or bloodstorm for example can kill that hellhound in 2 hits or 1 crit (with strong gear) and calvin just seems like a waste of time since lascivius is a mage and doesnt build up morale.

PS to andy specific: instead of calvin you could try with this set up to replace calvin with lancelot or queen penthesilea (thx tynon team for not naming her maya or sarah, it would have made it too easy for us) and more than double your damage output so the hellhound never even gets to build up full morale. at the end in your particular setup it all comes down to shayd stunning the dwark mark(s)man and killing him in time to stun the boss for the final rounds. if your daughter tries again and fails too much, you could try to place adam in the first row with shayd so he can help finish off the marksman and his AOE should still assist in killing the center row...

I did not do it on purpose either. Went to HR after Baal one day and forgot to change formations and I beat him.

wow 3 hours. talk about such dedication!

well, what I normally see. you need blood adamanti in your formation. and yes, stunning is the key to victory. still, you really need to Build more power. what power did you beat him @ Davina?
