World Bosses (WB): Baal and Cerberus

You must partake in these events whenever you can. You could give the final blow, which gives you 10,000K coins (final blow is randomly attributed to one of the participants). This alone is a good incentive to participate.

You may wonder how some people manage to perform so well during these events. You can be awarded great gifts if you rank well, such as plans for certain rare items and chips (from level 4 to level 1). It is also an excellent way to gather a lot of reputation. The coin and credit boost isn't much, but we'll take it anyway. Here are some tips that will help you perform well:

    - Use stunning abilities if you can. This can allow you to land attacks during several additional rounds. Make sure that your stunners last long enough to land their skill attack, i.e. don't place them so that they get hit first by the WB. Thucidides, Cianna, and Shayd are all heroes you can use early on to use stun attacks.

    - Use morale runes wisely so that your attacks are timed to land at the right moment in the battle.

    - Calvin is useful, thanks to his Will Breaker skill (resets morale bar to 0), in preventing the WB from using Thousand Strikes, which kills all your heroes instantly. There are other heroes whose skills affect morale.

    - Don't hesistate to use different heroes than your regular PvP formation.

    - Remove all your defensive runes and add anything that can allow you to land extra damage. The WBs kill you one shot either way, so you might as well land more damage. The runes you want are Bane (Physical Attack), Adept (Skill Attack), Advantage (Critical Hit), Preciseness (Hit Rating), Righteousness (Morale), and Intenseness (Magic Attack). The others are useless. Infalability (Break) might be useful, the community does not understand well how this statistic affects magic users, but I've seen mages get +15 Break from a sanctification, which means it can be helpful, somehow. If you do not have access to these high level runes, choose a lower quality which you have access to. As I said before, you need to spend a lot of coins on runes to have the ones you need.

    - You will need a very high critical stat to actually be able to land a critical hit on a WB.

    - Boost, boost, boost! But not with gems. It is much more cost efficient to pray for credits at the Shrine than to spend gems to boost. You will get more reputation, but most importantly, you'll rank higher, which will give you better gifts. You can easily get two level 3 chips every day if you play well.

    - You may consider spending a final 10 gems to achieve 100% boost if you think this might help you end 1st.

    Reputation

Reputation is undervalued by many players. One of the reasons why it is undervalued is that you do not notice its benefits as you gain more. As a result, people believe that, because it does not increase their power, it is not an important resource. Yet, gaining as much reputation on a regular basis is extremely important.

Reputation has one single use: to improve your title. Improving your title gives you small advantages such as additional HP, shrine bonuses, more XP gained from monsters, etc. A small HP gain can make a huge difference early on in the game. However, this is not the most important aspect. Reputation allows you to recruit new heroes; having access to the most powerful heroes gives incredible advantages, as their skills and stats are impressive.

You should see gaining reputation as a race. You want to be the first to get there, to acquire the new title, the new heroes. Those who have Adamanti, for instance, have an unfair advantage when fighting those who do not have access to him. Here is how you can maximize your reputation gains:

    - Fight in the arena. You can get 400 reputation daily.
    - Boost as much a possible (using credits) during Ragnarok IF you think it can help you win more battles. The point here is not to gain more credits by spending credits. You will lose credits by doing that, but you will win the race to the next title.
    - Boost during Baal and Cerberus (again using credits). You will effectively gain twice the reputation. Late in the game, you will get the credits you spent on boosting back, as the more you inflict damage, the more you gain coins, credits, and reputation you gain. As a rule, you should always boost late in the game; there is no excuse not to do it.
    - Buying reputation from the Fair is not a good idea. There are better uses for your gems.
    - You can get reputation from the guild chests.

Note: Participate to the Nobe Lady event to make sure you have enough credits for your boosts.
