I've noticed that every time I log in, the tavern gives me a purple and gold card available but I never seem to get it. I decided to test it out, and it turns out that if you don't hit shuffle and refresh instead, the purple and gold card will appear (course you can never actually get them).
So basically tynon is showing us some fake cards in order to make us play with the tavern more. I suggest you guys never spend gems for extra flips for the cards that appear when you log in.
It is another way to try to keep you happy.
It is very rare to actually get a good hero on a free refresh, they have just made them show up more often on the free ones to get you to spend spend spend.
wrong. i got 2 purple cards and 1 gold card. lol 3/300 though ( rough guess ).
But good and free items are always hard to gain
Well... Guess I have been unlucky then, I definitely tried a few hundred myself. In that case, we should all refresh after flipping? I'll give this a shot on tuesday sometime.
I just found out something. The cards shown in the tavern are not the cards themselves, but the colors. I am, of course, talking about the way they programmed the tavern.
When I shuffled a free shot an hour ago, I got Saffron. I didn't want her for 1.6M credits, so I left the tavern. I came back online an hour after and, not having kept track of time, went back to the tavern to see if I could have another shot at it. I realized that I could get Queen P-something. I hadn't shuffled, and I didn't remember having had access to her card. Which is then I realized...
The tavern displays colors. If you refresh, you'll get the same colors in the tavern, but not necessarily the same heroes. I decided to refresh to make sure I was correct. After the refresh, the card I could buy was Cianna. Moreover, Smoulder (which I couldn't buy) was now Rhize.
This means that whenever you get a purple of gold hero in the tavern, Tynon made it so you can actually choose which gold or purple card you want. They just forgot to tell you. Perhaps they thought you'd find out on your own-- or perhaps they did not.

Have you actually tried recruiting though. 99% of the time if you refresh after you shuffle and choose the card, while the hero may change. You will get a sync error and NOT GET THE CARD. Sending a ticket in will not get you the card. They know of this glitch and are trying to fix it.

Then you were the lucky 1%m because I know many people who try this glitch out and it fails 99% of the time. So congratulations for letting us all know you used a glitch
