No,I think you are wrong on that i make lots of trades with coins/credits and if i need alot more then i use gems.But most of teh time i trade my coins/credit

I don't spend my creds on Tavern anymore since I am forever banned from getting a good hero lol So I save up and buy everything in the fair for creds. And when I get the 10 gems from Assistant, I go and buy whatever I need from fair. If you use your coins, creds, and gems wisely, you won't need to scrounge around and whine about the fair being crap.

OK then, please explain this:
(Screen snapshot won't paste), but out of the 16 options in Fair - at least 10 or 12 - you can only buy with gems.
