I notice that if I'm not in the Pirates screen when I set sail, I don't get the set sail rewards. This is most noticeable on Saturdays. I tried refreshing during the sail and after. But ultimately, I end up with only 5 gems more than I started with. Anyone else have this problem? I noticed this before, but I made sure to track my gem count last night and confirmed this.
I think what is happening is if you still have the half of the reward, for starting to sail, sitting there when you complete the sail the first half gets overwritten and you loose it.
Actually, I see what you are saying Rocco. I usually collected reward long after the sail was finished but I noticed today that if I didn't have the pirate screen open when the sail started I failed to get the envelope with the reward, even if I refreshed long before the sail was finished. This does seem like a bug.
its a known bug. the best way to get the rewards is for you to hop on someone's boat, instead of them hopping in your boat
Which would be great if, but since I cannot be at my computer much, and I can often sit safely on a boat when others of my guild cannot, then I have to squat. Oh well.
OMG I was not aware of that all the time at the end of the sail I just go n collect or I collect the next day. Think of all the gold , gems , credits and guild contribution I missed out all the way from lvl 30 to 70
Well, small amounts of coins, credits, and guild rep. And the gems are new enough that missing stinks, but not end of world.

In pirates, since Saturday, i am only able to collect the rewards for creds and coins, i do not get the gems for either starting or finishing sails, no mater how many times i refresh my game they do not get added to my account
we do these sails so that,:-
1.hopefully we complete the 1 needed for the assistant,
2. to obtain the rewards that we are told that are in the envelope !
3. so why are so many player now being short change with the rewards!
eg The Gem's!
For a lot of players this is one of the ways that they are able to get Gems freely from the game so why is it not working!
this needs to be looked into, so come on dev;s please sort this game issue out for your players
