    Power from Stars

Noob question here, but when I upgrade my stars, it shows that it should be a 10% increase in power but it doesn't actually give that much. It does increase the stats like command and such by 10% but how much does that actually help?

    Thanks.

Well, go and star up some unstarred blue. Look at their stat, and their attack/defense stats (click on the hero's picture in the inventory panel to find this) before you star them up, then afterwards and do the math.

As hero type increase white -> blue -> purple -> gold the amount of stats they get per star is higher. So maybe a blue gets +18 stats, a purple +23, and a gold +28. That is just to further explain the idea, not an actual example. If the hero gets a large increase in one particular stat then they also tend to get a bit less total stat increases per star increase.

Also as you star a hero up they usually get more increase per star. So they will get more total stats going from 4 stars to 5 stars then they did going from zero stars to 1. This is especially true at the Moon level.

    Hope this is helpful.

Tried on one of my purples with no set or runes.
490k was predicted to go to 540k, but actually powered up to 504k. Stats went up about 1 or 2 % rather than 10%. I still have no clue how command, str, intel works... is there a formula available to see how they contribute to actual stats?

When you say stats went up 1 or 2%, not 10%, do you mean stats as in Command, Strength, and Intelligence. Or do you mean Physical,Skill, Magical attack/defense?

Did your Command, Strength, and Intelligence actually increase the amount the chart indicated it would?

I have never found the power calculation in the live screen to be very consistent. I frankly ignore it.

How the game calculates total power might be skewed because of the magic damage stat which does nothing for physical characters and vice versa. The starring chart might be calculating total increase based purely on characteristics (physical/skill/magical attack/defense) but the character power display might not calculate in a stat increase that has no effect on the the character's fighting ability.

I admit I forgot that all increase in stars are supposed to be 10% rounding down.

Lets take a look at some actual stat calculations with a level 89 character

    Calvin = Cmd 70, Str 80, Int 70 500 Point Redeem
    Phys Attack/Defense - 6834/4506 Point/Stat Point - 97.62/6437
    Skill Attack/Defense - 7715/3336 Point/Stat Point - 96.44/41.7
    Magic Attack/Defense - 7377/5210 Point/Stat Point - 105.39/74.43

    Calvin 1 Star = Cmd 77, Str 88, Int 77
    Phys Attack/Defense -6896/4550 Point/SP - 89.56/59.09
    Skill Attack/Defense - 7786/3386 Point/ SP - 88.47/38.48
    Magic Attack/Defense - 7439/5254 Point/SP - 96.61/68.23

Calvin increases from 0 Star to 1 Star -
    Phys Attack/Defense - 62/44 Increase/Point Increase 8.85/6.29
    Skill Attack/Defense - 71/50 IP/P - 8.88/6.25
    Magic Attack/Defense - 62/44 IP/P - 8.86/6.29

Lacked any more medals to star up guys so cannot do any more comparisons for starring up, but lets look at some base stats

    Prophet Petosiris - Cmd 72, Str 70, Int 60 550 Spirit Redeem
    Physical Attack/Defense - 7002/4478 Point/SP - 97.25/62.19
    Skill Attack/Defense - 7682/3529 Point/SP - 109.74/50.41
    Magic Attack/Defense - 7468/5104 Point/SP - 124.46/85.07

    Queen Cleopatra - Cmd 72, Str 72, Int 72 900 Spirit Redeem
    Physical Attack/Defense - 7821/4751 Point/SP - 108.62/65.99
    Skill Attack/Defense - 8149/4034 Point/SP - 113.18/56.03
    Magic Attack/Defense - 8300/5383 Point/SP - 115.27/74.76

Its pretty obvious that not all characters are built equally when it comes to how much offense/defense they get per point. I don't really feel like spending the time to do a breakdown of all the guys I don't have starred and sanctified yet. I don't know if some of these guys have a base value onto which the stats are added or if the stats for different characters have a weighed system. Someone with more time, desire, and probably math would have to work that out.

The command, str, intel goes up by 10% like it's supposed to. The power doesn't though.

The phys/skill/magic attack and def goes up by 1 or 2 %.

I am wondering how the command, str, intel actually affects the power.

Your right, it does. As you noticed its not 10% increase in attack/defense. It is more about 1% for each stat, attack and defense. My guess is there is a baseline attack/defense for each hero, Command, Strength, and Intelligence add to that. So as you increase those stats, you see an increase in attack and defense, but not anywhere near what you would expect since the baseline is not determined purely by those stats.

That would explain why someone like Queen C has a higher base Skill attack then Calvin, even though she has a lower base Strength. I would guess the more expensive the hero is to purchase with spirits, the bigger the base. When I have more time I might do a bit more of this analysis. Turned out to be a bit more interesting then I thought it would
