    Dragonian: Analysis and Techniques

Again, Dragonian of server 2 has turned out as the only unbeaten player in the preliminary rounds in the US group.

So how do we beat this juggernaut?
His formation is still the same, consisting of Ahmose, Flavius, Adamanti, Herja, Leader with Saffron as his substitute.

    Personal Analysis:
    - His entire formation is centered around Adamanti. He relies on Adam to deal the damage with Thousand Strikes each turn due to Herja's effect. All his other heroes are to support, protect and let Adam live as long as possible.
    - Leader is a sacrifice tank. Saffron usually replaces the leader once it is Pompey'd. Same thing goes for Ahmose if a turn 1 Pompey kills it.
    - Flavius is a deterrent, the last unit to attack, to make sure the enemy doesn't get any skill attacks in the next round.

    Any ideas, suggestions, proposals?

Leveling up flintness does do a lot against the hits of Adam, but they seem to go to lvl 10 only.
Helmets are also a great help.

I was thinking maybe a mage setup would maybe work against this type of team.
They are not touched by Flavius or Herja and work well against tanks.

It is a bit of a shame we have no hero who attacks the entire backline.
Most Herjas are lower on HP. Could focus on taking her out first to at least make Adam not skill every round?

I was thinking of that also. Though only Adam and Cianna are able to hit Herja in the back.
A mage team would get shredded by Dragonian's Adam since it does 69k phy/skill attack damage.
Hitting this team from the front won't work either, as there are two rows both guarded by shielded heroes (Ahmose and Saffron).

I would approach this puzzle along the lines of, is there a way to disrupt the Herja-Adam-Flavius combo?

Mulan perhaps? Using her to inflict damage to Amhose, Adam and Herja but is immune to Flavius.

Now that's an interesting idea. Mulan has the damage, hit rate, and can penetrate both Adam and Herja's rows.
And can hit Ahmose and Saffron at full damage, ignoring the shields.

Yes, a mage setup could work, if they can take enough damage.
Mulan, QueenB, Smoulder... None effected by Flavius and Herja, loaded up with flint.
Mine are all too weak though and could die in one hit.

Can't say I've tested Mulan thoroughly but found her dmg lacking even more than King T when i gave her, her shot at stardom. You don't need to kill the tanks, they are ineffective without backup dmg. Rhize, King T, Mulan, Adam and queen B (to a lesser and more wishful thinking extent) was how I was thinking of how to tackle any tank heavy Adam builds. If you can get Flavius and Herja out of the way in round 1 Adam is reduced in effectiveness dramatically. If however the Adam you are facing is not stifled enough with helms and flintiness, resulting in you losing some in the second or third attack of round 1, you are finished.

Just tested Mulan. Damage is minimal.

Perhaps the best way to go is with the morale heroes.
They excess morale will make it last 2 rounds-ish.

Getting Dodge up would help against the tanks hm.
