On our server there are left days and right days. But every day there is a common map and a rare one. I've also noticed people who claim maps around the same time tend to get the same maps. Now with the assistant chest, you have a decent chance of changing your map though. So sails haven't been a problem recently.

It's going to be hilarious when enough people get stalled on same side maps across all guilds and people just park on the beach to DEADLOCK all sailing from anyone as a negative tactic and punishment for tynon's buggy random number map side generator that has a gauche left-handed bias to it.
Sea Lane Denial Tactic - use those useless maps to block all sailing and force the other rare side maps to come out swinging to sail and give targets...

There are Right days and Left days. It used to be a lot worse with the Right to Left ratio, but its stills happens every day in server 7.

those guys are pretty stupid and you should be happy about it. just pick the weakest, steal the map and have your guild mate board and sail with you. the top players being on the beach wont be able to sink you because they are tied up on the beach and then if they do sink you, they will only get a left map... that display of one sidedness works in another point for you, that they cant sail without your rights and you know that the particular guild NEEDS rights, so board lefts first and laugh while looking at the sitting duckies.
