Formation without Main Hero?

Noticed that one of the opponents in Heaven Palace is made up of General Mulan, Rhize, Shayd, Adamanti & Bloodstorm. I thought you had to have your Main in your formation? How could he start off without his main? We think having a sub slot might have something to do with it, but when one of his heroes is killed, nothing comes in to sub. Any ideas?

Same thing happened to my statue in the Palace this weekend -- no main hero, and no sub. My sub took my main hero's standard spot in formation, but my main never came out as a sub (like I was hoping :P). I'm not sure how this happened -- I don't recall doing anything special for this glitch to happen.

There must have been a bug.
The only place I have seen formations run without the Main is in Lab, after regaining health.
If the sub is in at that time, that will be regenerated, not the original formation.
Same thing was shown on server 8; formation without a main and no sub.
