It could be a lot of reasons why you beat them. One thing i will say is that most high dmg hitters come out swinging with the first 3 turns. So Alci will take out your guy with the first hit then followed by adamanti, even if you hit them with flav moral loss, they will still have enough to launch the first skill attack. Then it's pretty much game over.
Also it depends on what runes they powered up. I can tell you if you place a lvl 12 vengence + lvl 12 endurance + lvl 10+ reliability with saints with +dodges, hits, and breaks, they gonna pretty much 90% of the time going to hit you with their full dmg and if they have lvl 11+ advantage for crit, it's pretty much game over for your flav and ahmose. Even if ahmose casts off his shield after with 1/3 of his life remaining, he will die within the next crit from adamanti. again, this all depends on what level talent and BS the gears are up, but for most part, people with properly built, and runed up dmg will out dmg the shield and counter the morale loss from it.
